How to update your Java

How to update your Java
As some of our Java game players have probably noticed, there have been some issues with the Java GamePoint games the last few days (all games except for Bingo, KenoClub, Rummyclub, WordTornado, CardParty and RoyalDice) Please follow the steps below to solve the issue.

In some browsers it is not possible right now to play the Java games if you have not updated Java yet. Keep in mind that some terms used can differ with different versions of Windows. The example below follows from Windows 7.

  1. Go to the 'Control Panel' through 'Start/Round' button with flag icon
  2. Go to 'Programs/Software'
  3. Click on 'Java' and click on 'Uninstall' at the top of the screen
  4. Do this with every Java component you see in this list
  5. After everything has been uninstalled, download and install Java 7.45 through www.gamepoint.com/java
  6. Close all browsers during the install
  7. After the installation is complete, restart your computer. Now you should be able to play on www.gamepoint.com again.

If you use Mozilla Firefox as your browser, pay attention to the following: After you installed Java and starting a game for the first time, you will get an icon of a brick on the left side of the address bar up top. Click this icon and you will see Java Deployment Toolkit. Click on the arrow/menu next to this option and choose 'Allow and Remember. After doing this', Java will be activated and should be fully working again.

For Chrome users: When installing the latest Java on Chrome, some players were receiving the error "Java (TM) is required to display some elements on this page" and asking you to install the Java plugins, despite having the correct files already installed.

In that case do the following: Check if the system is 64bit by going to Control Panel -> Computer -> System properties -> Type of system. If it is, go to http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp and download & install the 32 bit AND 64 bit versions. Make sure to restart Chrome and you will see it works.

We wish you a nice day and should you encounter any problems, do not hesitate to contact us :-)
